Electives are mid-size groups (10-20+) that provide assimilation and the opportunity to explore meaningful and relevant Biblical topics.  These groups meet during both services on Sunday (9:00am and 10:45am) and during the week.  You'll not only grow as a follower of Christ, but you'll build a deeper understanding of relevant real world topics as they relate to the Bible.  Valuable friendships can be easily achieved.

Spring Electives March 26 - May 21 (9 weeks):

Youth Elective with Lee Elgin/Cris Shell/Sarah Cox  (Grades 6-12)

Sundays 9:00am - Utility Room - Ongoing

Grace students have a continuous elective (goes year round) designed just for their unique challenges as teenagers. Various topics and Scripture passages are studied based on the needs and interests of the students.

The Gospel of John with Jeff Shirkman (College & Career Young Adults)

Sundays 9:00am - Conference Room

From a strictly historical point of view, Jesus of Nazareth was the most remarkable person in all human history. Whatever people’s opinions of Him may be, almost everyone would seize an opportunity to spend a day with one of His closest friends.  The Apostle John was among Jesus’ three closest friends. He was in on everything. Frequently it would be just the four of them together: Jesus, Peter, James, and John. John saw Jesus, touched Him, and heard Him speak. Come and spend “twenty-four hours with John,” as we continue to see who Jesus truly is and what He wants from us.

America's Providential History with Andre Clark

Sundays 10:45am - Conference Room

Dr. David Jeremiah asked his congregation what questions they would like to ask if they were sitting down together with him in a coffee shop.  Some of the questions were: How can I be sure of my salvation? Is there only one way to God? How can I over come temptation? Why don’t my prayers get answered? and many more.  We will be examining the answers to these questions as well as others using the book “Ten Questions Christians are Asking” by Dr. Jeremiah and by studying God’s Word. The book is not required, however, if you would like one ordered for you, please indicate when you register for this class.  Book Optional: $20

with Gwen Lenart (Ladies' Elective)

Sundays 10:45pm - Room 3

Is your busyness creating tension in your life and robbing you of peace of mind? For many of us, much of our busyness is necessary to our own or others' well-being. It may seem impossible to focus beyond the noise of daily demands. We long for a greater awareness of God with us.  This study will explore ways of conversing with God in the midst of the whirlwind of life, so we can see our day’s work as the joyful service of kneeling before Jesus.  Book required: $8

Christian Leadership with Pastor Cary Duckett (Men's Elective)

Sundays 3:30pm - Conference Room

Many men are intimidated by the words “be a leader.” However, a leader is nothing more thanperson gaining and using influence. For men to be Christians leaders they must gain and use influence to point others to Christ in spite of the complex issues our world is encountering. Families, work places, ball parks, community organizations and our church all need Christian leaders. The most influential leader in the early church was undoubtedly the apostle Paul. Drawing from thefirst four chapters of 1 Corinthians, this men's elective group will discuss the wisdom, humility, strength and courage needed to be a Christian leader in today’s challenging environment.
